Tata Chemicals Europe has implemented an on-going programme of investment since its establishment in 1991, with more than £300 million of infrastructure improvements and development projects including:

• £6 million dense ash production plant at the Northwich East site
• £7 million sodium bicarbonate plant at Northwich West
• £7 million investment in computer control equipment to improve site efficiency
• £9 million rail transport and off-loading facility for bringing limestone from Derbyshire to the company's Northwich sites
• E.ON CHP Gas Fire Power plant at investment of £145million
• £10million investment in a sodium bicarbonate plant at Northwich East.
